It seems my post over there in the thread announcing the unorthodox election was not taken very well.

The post that got the thread removed;

I need to set the record straight here.
I will most likely be taking that one way trip to the moon StuDaBaka.

The completely unorthodox fashion of the bi-annual elections this year, along with their ironic knack for bad timing came a strange unprecedented mutiny.

A mutiny to disarm administration through the power of vote givin by Admin, although easily taken care of in just a few minutes if I was crazy enough, tells me something completely different then what I had originally thought of some staff.

Yes Randy Black and I legally owned the board and the registered trademark, but we’ve always worked with a government sorta speak which consisted of the moderators and the other prostaff, allowing them to dictate through voting what took place….within reason.

My position was not up for election, nor was it even nominated on when I declined to have any part of what I was seeing unfold. I am simply leaving because I am completely opposed to what I am seeing back there.

I have given my word I would hang around to teach some of the ins and outs of the controls and inner workings and then…
I will be, instead of arguing, or turning the lights completely off… on my own behalf, and my own free will…be leaving the website in attempt to not be affiliated with anything that takes place from this point on, due to me completely disagreeing with the new positions and the agenda.

Nobody could ask for a better membership then what you guys have shown to be. I appreciate the support.

Any tannery clientele that I may have accumulated during my time over there knows where to find me, and I will conduct business the same as I did for 7 years before PM came into my life.
You members of that site have been incomparable in your loyalty, dedication, and support. To describe it any other way would be a gross understatement.
I’ve appreciated it…all of it ;)

Ever consider going on a big game hunt with a big bore air rifle?

If that sounds funny, it’s happening all around you and slowly picking up speed. Websites are spawning around the world offering everything from guided hunts to manufactures for Big Bore air rifles.

Personally, I think it’s insane number one, to depend on an air rifle to poise a clean kill on any big game. Secondly, the introduction of large caliber air rifles opens up a whole new era for the sweltering crime rate in certain parts of our nation. Can you imagine?

The Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho Farm Bureaus (joined by the Audubon Society) brought suit against the Department of Interior for violating the provisions of the Endangered Species Act by introducing Canadian wolves into an area where indigenous wolves already existed. The U.S. District Court held for the Farm Bureaus and the National Audubon Society and ordered that the reintroduced gray wolves and their offspring be removed from Yellowstone and Idaho. According to the District Court, because the reintroduced wolves are part of an experimental population, the Endangered Species Act permits residents of the area to shoot wolves found preying on livestock. Native wolves, however, would also be in danger of being shot, in violation of the Endangered Species Act. The judge therefore held that the reintroduction plan was illegal. In January 2000, the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals overturned the decision of the lower court, and the Farm Bureau decided not to appeal the decision to the Supreme Court.

More than 10 years after the reintroduction, the wolf population at Yellowstone is thriving. Researchers are beginning to see that the wolves’ reintroduction is slowly changing the balance of the park ecosystem: elk no longer wander in the open, for example, and the dominance of the coyote has been challenged. However, in other areas of the country, wolf reintroduction has not been as successful and wolves remain endangered in most of the U.S. Debate continues about their reintroduction. Ultimately, the controversy among environmentalists, ranchers, and other stakeholders remains the same: is there a plan that is both economically and ecologically beneficial?
